Marchon Slot Car Racing Set with Tyco 440-X2 Lamborghini Flying Around the Track! Took this out of the attic and set up one last time prior to selling on Ebay. When the kids were younger we had a blast with this track! Since I posted this I've been amazed at the number of views it received and have been investing time in trying to find out how I could monetize the video and somehow turn it into a source of income. I've been looking all over the net at how people turn this into home based work. Crazy, but people say this is an easy way to make money! I'll let you know if it works. These commercials aired on local Sacramento Affiliate KRBK 31 in November of 1990. Apologies for the quality, but better than nothing, right? Thanks to my cousin David for recording these. 1. Disney Afternoon Bumper 2. Hawaiian Punch (I always liked Punchy, the mascot with the antlers) 3. Ice Capades Barbie 4. AFX Super G-Plus Challenge 5. Beary Bears Fruit Snacks 6. Golden Grahams (I remember this being portrayed as the "hip" teenage cereal for awhile. Again, the 90's were very quaint)

We knocked up a working 'traffic light' to demonstrate the use of cams as a form of automation. The working mechanism is gone in to more detail in the second half of the video. Alas we couldn't build a traffic light without having a race! So it was out with the radio controlled cars, ready for a burnout!! Red, Red/Orange,Green!!!! I edited all the clips together to create the semblance of a single race. Just making learning fun! :-))

Chasing Lewis Hamilton at Goodwood 2010

slotcarspeedshop.blogspot.com hoscss.blogspot.com I went to The Goodwood Festival of Speed in England last week. (Sunday only). I thought that I'd try to catch a glimpse of Lewis Hamilton but that was not to be. The guy is almost as big as the Beatles in the UK, so it's close to impossible to find or get close enough to him for a photo or autograph. I saw his brother, his boss - Martin Whitmarsh, his car - the 2008 MP4-23 McLaren (some nice video of it while parked in the paddock), but no Lewis. I ultimately settled for the pics and the raw videos posted here. Goodwood was a complete blast. There's nothing like it anywhere else. A must see if you can.

Before HD, digital editing or we even had drivers licenses, all we had were a couple VHS camcorders to shoot and edit with. It was 1991. This was created by adolescents about 20 years ago and uploaded on youtube solely for the enjoyment of other people that used to have radio controlled cars when they were growing up. I have gotten quite a few emails from people asking me if it is possible to build a 4WD mini BattleBot that is still driveable. For the longest time my engineer friends told me "NO!!! IT"S NOT POSSIBLE!!!", but then why is it that TYCO, EDGE, and other companies built a few RC cars that did just this. In short the answer is yes it does in fact work, in the video I will give a quick demonstration as well as a few tips.

Turn Tricks From the Get-Go
Losing control is part of the enjoyment of the Stunt Psycho. It's easy to begin flipping the vehicle without really trying. Most of the time -- with enough space -- driving it in the opposite direction, and then quickly reversing it, will fix the problem.

Performing a tornado spin is a two-step process. You first need to pop a wheelie -- get the vehicle to stand on its back two wheels -- before getting the Stunt Psycho to spin. With some time and practice, anyone can become an expert at all the moves.

While this vehicle is made to handle indoor and outdoor terrains, it works best on firm, flat surfaces, like wood, carpet, and cement. The Stunt Psycho should not be driven through water, sand, or snow. The vehicle should be switched off when you're done playing, and remove the batteries from the remote when not in use.
